Cosmetic Dentistry – HOW to do it the RIGHT way to achieve BEAUTIFUL results

It is always a great idea to ask your dentist to show you how your future dental veneers or crowns will look like. Dr. Fidanoski talks about his way of doing Cosmetic Dentistry cases:

Hey everyone Dr. Fidanoski here. So, today I would like to talk to you about the way how I do my cosmetic dentistry how I conduct my cases, my aesthetic cases. I have one case in front of me I would like to show it to you. There are some specific things that I do that not all the dentists do, so let's say uh, this gentleman came and wanted to change his smile. So in here, we have two central incisors that are not showing with the same shape, one is longer the other one is wider, there is a gap between them. He wanted this to be taken care of. In this kind of situation, the worst thing dentists can do is pick up the drill and say hey let's do this. I do things a little bit differently so what I do with my patients is I always do what is called cosmetic wax-up, aesthetic wax-up so we take impressions we make models for the, you know of that patient and then I personally have a small tiny little dental lab in the back of my building, I do wax-up and I make in wax the way how those two crowns will look like, the way how his smile will look like. The next step is I call the patient and show this to him and that's what I did so he was able at least on the model to see how things will look like and give me any suggestions if everything is okay or if anything should be changed regarding the size, length, shape, of course the color you cannot, you know, choose a color on a model but once the patient is you know satisfied then we go and I pick up my instruments and then we do some work, prepare the teeth, do some temporary crowns that will look almost similar or exactly like like the final product and you know couple weeks later then we have the final product and here how it looks like. So it looks pretty awesome and then these two beautiful crowns will go into his mouth and he's gonna be very very satisfied! So, the main point is: please do not accept any aesthetic cases, any changes in your front area of your teeth without actually seeing first how things will look like because sometimes things might go different, and the outcome might be something that you haven't expected. So, it's always good to have a wax-up. It's always good to know what to expect. So, that was all about this case and all about this aesthetic dentistry that we do here in our office, I hope you like this presentation see you next time.

Thanks.
